**My Background in Photography**
Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From a young age, I’ve always carried a camera with me—captivated by the challenge and joy of preserving fleeting moments. Whether exploring new places or simply enjoying everyday life, it’s rare to find me without my camera in hand.
My path to becoming a professional photographer truly began with a deeply personal experience: my own wedding. That pivotal day sparked a profound appreciation for the power of photography and inspired me to delve deeper into the craft. I pursued formal training through an EQF Level 5 Professional Diploma in Photography, which equipped me with the technical knowledge and creative tools to take the next step in my journey.
In 2018, I took the leap and launched my own photography business. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of capturing the weddings of countless couples across West Berkshire and throughout the UK. Each wedding is unique, and I’m honoured every time I'm chosen to document such a meaningful day.
To me, wedding photography is about more than just beautiful images—it’s about storytelling. It’s the joy in a glance, the emotion in a touch, and the quiet moments that often go unnoticed. I believe weddings are not just a celebration of love, but also a gathering of stories, connections, and beginnings. My goal is to create timeless images that evoke pride, nostalgia, and a renewed appreciation every time they are revisited.
I’m committed to providing every couple with a comfortable, professional experience from start to finish. I am fully insured and DBS checked, giving you peace of mind on your big day.
Beyond the lens, what I cherish most is the opportunity to meet incredible people and be part of their most treasured moments. It’s a privilege I never take for granted.
**What to expect on your wedding day**
On your wedding day, I typically arrive at the venue around an hour before the scheduled start time. This allows me to capture the venue details—beautiful, untouched scenes—before your guests begin to arrive.
Depending on your preferences, I can also photograph the getting-ready moments of both the bride and groom. These behind-the-scenes images often become some of the most personal and cherished from the day.
During the ceremony, I discreetly document every key moment: the groom waiting at the altar, guest arrivals, the bride’s entrance, vows, exchange of rings, the first kiss, and the signing of the register. Many couples also choose to include a confetti shot after the ceremony, which often results in vibrant, joyful images.
After the ceremony and before the wedding breakfast, I’ll guide and capture family portraits—this tends to be the ideal time when everyone is together and looking their best.
Throughout the day and into the evening reception, I focus on candid, storytelling photography. From the spontaneous laughter during speeches to the cutting of the cake and your first dance as a married couple, I’ll be there to document it all with a natural, unobtrusive style.
But my role doesn’t stop at photography. I see myself as part of your support team on the day. Whether it’s coordinating with your event planner, offering guidance during the schedule, or helping with small but important details—like pinning on a buttonhole—I’m there to help things run smoothly.
My photography style is relaxed, fun, and natural. I avoid overly posed shots, choosing instead to work quietly in the background to capture genuine moments—the ones that you might not even notice as they happen, but will treasure when you look back.
re when you look back.
